Spain, Andorra and France Photos 

Spain, Andorra and France were the European leg of our journey. We have spent lots of time in Europe and have other websites covering them so just an overview here.

San Isidro This was taken a few years before the trip started in Plaza Mayor in Madrid at a concert celebrating the Saints day San Isidro. Madrid is a great city to live in.
Local girls dress up during the parading of the Holy Virgin from the church of Chamberi, the "barrio" we lived in during our stay in Madrid. An annual event that closes down a few city blocks while the people celebrate. Local Dress
The long and winding road The small Principality of Andorra stuck between Spain and France in the Pyrenees. A great ski place, tax free and full of long and twisty mountain roads.
Andorra is a great place to visit for mountain scenery. We stopped here for lunch on our second, yes second, day on the road to Cape Town. Lunch in the Mountains
Camping Our first camp site on the road. This is near Marseilles and a day before we take the ferry to Tunisia and Africa. We did a lot of sorting out in this campsite.
And here we are with loads of locals and other adventurers on the ferry to Tunis. We were first off but far from first on. We nearly got arrested even before leaving Europe. The other adventurers didn't go much further than Tunisia. Here we go
